Description
About the Workshop
The virtual workshop was developed in a 2-hour session. During the first part, the elements of the Paris agreement and the information requirements in the ETF were presented. The BTR was highlighted as an integral part of the successful implementation of the Paris Agreement, as the document itself provides a robust framework to help a country organize its climate data and information collection so that it can track progress towards the meeting its nationally determined contribution targets.
Presentations were then made by the Ministry of Agriculture of Colombia and the Ministry of Environment of Chile. Then an introduction was given to the BTR roadmap and guidance tool, and the features and use of the tool. At the end, there was a working session using the Jamboard platform, focused on planning future training spaces according to the needs of the countries.
