Module 1. Update of basic concepts on climate change, climate variability and its agricultural impacts.
A cycle aimed at updating the nature of the climate changes that are occurring at different latitudes, the physical aspects that explain them, and the impacts of these changes on the physical, biological, agricultural and social worlds. The concepts and ways of assessing the exposure, vulnerability, impacts and risk that the changes represent for agriculture will be updated. We will establish the interconnections between climate change, desertification and drought. Finally, we will review the axes to be considered in a plan to adapt agriculture to a new climate reality.
Module 2. Climate action for effective adaptation in the agricultural sector.
We will analyze the conceptual basis for climate action to reduce the potential impacts of climate change on agriculture. The role of rurality, gender equity, demographic movements, indigenous peoples in adaptation plans. The role of the State, institutions, professionals and farmers in effective climate action.
