Description
The Bank of low-cost technological solutions and/or based on local resources is an initiative of PLACA's Thematic Working Group on Knowledge Transfer and Good Practices.
This regional contest seeks to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences between different actors of the agrifood systems of Latin America and the Caribbean and also contribute to the generation of a network of collaborators that enables collective work to periodically update this initiative. This "Bank of Solutions" will be managed and is publicly available on PLACA's website. Bank of Solutions.
The 5 proposals with the highest score were selected, which were awarded in a parallel event in the framework of the 13th Annual Meeting of the Global Forum for Rural Advisory Services (GFRAS), on October 24, 2022.
The winners received, in addition to a Diploma of recognition, study scholarships to take courses or diplomas in topics related to agriculture and climate change.

Within this parallel event, an expert workshop was held on the current profile of the extension agent, whose objective was to contribute with guidelines that allow updating the profile of the extension agent and their training needs in the current context of climate change oriented to agricultural systems of Latin America and the Caribbean.
