Within the framework of the Work Plan, it is planned to carry out actions in accordance with PLACA's four strategic lines of action:

1. Capacity building
2. Public policy dialogue
3. Communication
4. Regional coordination

To include fisheries and aquaculture in the issues addressed by PLACA, since aquatic foods make an increasingly decisive contribution to food security and nutrition in the 21st century, and in order to encourage LAC countries, especially those in the Caribbean, to join the Platform.

Incorporate gender and youth in a cross-cutting manner in the different activities carried out by the Platform and the Thematic Working Groups, in order to strengthen the capacities of the members and thus contribute to the development of tools to reduce gender gaps.
