The FAO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean and the Platform of Latin America and the Caribbean for Climate Action on Agriculture (PLACA) participated in various events where they presented initiatives showcasing success stories in climate change adaptation and mitigation.

PLACA's virtual repository of terms will make it possible to generate greater consensus on the use of terminology specifically related to climate change and its link with agricultural activity, meteorological phenomena and some plans and policies focused on the sector for the countries of the region.

The two documents prepared by the Thematic Working Group on Adaptation and Mitigation seek to support countries in the preparation of their national inventories (IN) on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
