Description
The meeting was organized by PLACA's four Thematic Working Groups : Adaptation and Mitigation (TWG1), Public Policies (TWG2), Knowledge Management (TWG3) and Research, Development and Technological Innovation (TWG4) .
- Objective
Facilitate an exchange of knowledge and perspectives among experts and stakeholders, in order to promote a broader understanding of regional climate impacts related to El Niño and La Niña, linking it to current drought conditions in Latin America and the Caribbean, and thus foster the effective use of this information by decision makers in critical sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, the media and the scientific community.
