The Platform of Latin America and the Caribbean for Climate Action on Agriculture (PLACA), in the form of a collaborative action between its "Thematic Working Group on Adaptation and Mitigation (TWG1)" and the "Transversal Group of Research, Development and Technological Innovation (TWG4)", aims to organize a workshop in 2022 to promote the exchange of knowledge in relation to the Reinforced Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement.

Aware of the relevance that the agricultural sector represents for the emissions portfolio of the PLACA countries, the training event aims to

• Capacity-building for the implementation of the Enhanced Transparency Framework for officials of the Ministries of Agriculture.
• Exchange of experiences on National Communications and national GHG inventories in the agricultural sector for PLACA countries.
• Exchange of national experiences on the implementation of national GHG inventory systems and opportunities to develop and improve indicators and monitoring systems to self-assess the efficiency of practices in the agricultural sector.
