About the virtual forum

The event is part of the activities programmed by PLACA's Thematic Working Group on Knowledge Transfer and Best Practices. It aims to present the progress made by the group during the year 2021 in terms of capacity building, knowledge management and networking at regional level and generate a dialogue with experts on current and future challenges in Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (TARE) in the context of climate change.

Workshop objectives:

• Present PLACA's actions carried out during 2021 in Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (TARE) systems in the area of climate change in Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries.
• Identify the main challenges in the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (TARE) processes related to climate change in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

Participants

It was attended by the members of the PLACA working groups, professionals from the Ministries of Agriculture of the countries of the Latin American and Caribbean region, as well as producers, extensionists agents and experts of TARE good practices in climate change.
